Time’s End

One year before the disaster in Japan, Sir Alice filmed Beppu, Tokyo and Kyoto as empty cities haunted by ghost. She gives from three totally different cities the same feeling of loneliness. Slowly the imagination takes place in reality. The vidéo is meant to be watched as a loop, then, like an Alice in wonderland, the character is trapped in her dream, she cannot get out.

Sir Alice has this freedom of mixing signs of differents cultures, stories or beliefs with no boundaries to give different layers of understanding in her work.

Her work find inspirations in Takashi Miike, David Lynch as Matthew Barney or Pierre Huygues.
